The Role of a Volunteer Community Bus Driver
Our volunteers drivers are at the heart of our servics that run on a timetable between 9am and 2pm on most weekdays. The role of a driver is designed to be flexible, allowing volunteers to commit to hours and scheduled trips that comfortably fit around their personal life. Our drivers provide a friendly face that transforms a routine trip into a valued social occasion. They provide practical support such as helping passengers safely board and exit the bus, securing walking aids etc., and ensuring everyone feels comfortable and safe throughout the journey.
